16 GETTING UP AND RUNNING
BATTERY-CONDITION INDICATOR
Full-battery indicator - the battery is fully charged.
Low-battery indicator - battery power is low. The battery should be recharged as
soon as possible.
AUTO POWER OFF
To conserve battery power, the camera will shut down if an operation is not made within
three minutes. To restore power, press the shutter-release button, zoom buttons, or menu
button. The length of the auto-power-off period can be changed or the function disabled
in the setup menu (p. 70).
This camera is equipped with an automatic battery-condition indicator. It is displayed in
the bottom left corner of the LCD monitor when the camera is on.
If power is insufficient for camera operation, the both indicator lamps
next to the viewfinder blink. The monitor will not turn on. The battery
must be recharged.
