CANON CLC1150
The CLC1120 and 1150 are in essence
identical other than the CLC1120 not having
an Auto Duplex Unit. Like a number of
other color copier-printers, the CLC1100
series are standalone 400 x 400 dpi
(800 x 400 dpi interpolated) color copiers
that can be connected to print or network
scan by adding external printer servers. The
CLC1100 series is based on the same engine
as the old Canon’s CLC950 and there is no
real innovation, just improvements on
existing limitations, and elements are based
on analog copier technology. The toner
filling system is outdated (you have to pour
the toner into the machine rather than use a
snap-in cartridge) and the lack of automatic
paper drawer switching decreases office
productivity by increasing the re-stocking
of paper into the cassette.
The CLC1150 are geared toward replacing
the CLC900 series products in the field and
also as upgrades to any of the CLC200, 300,
500, 700, and 800 series. The CLC1100
series is targeted towards the Corporate/
General Office and Graphic Arts and
Design markets.
